Great To Be Back!
This is the start of my fifth year of working with students attending New Salem and Hebron High Schools. I’ve observed that students are eager and ready for the school year. This is a great for all involved: students, teachers and parents.
Thanks to the New Salem Journal for printing these informational articles on career and counseling topics. The New Salem Journal does such a superb job of communicating the participation and accomplishments of students. Keep up the great effort!

College Career Fair
We will be taking the seniors to the College Career Fair at Century High School in Bismarck on September 22, 2005. Thanks to Principal Keith Jacobson and Wade Schulz for assisting me in getting the seniors there. This trip will provide high school seniors with the opportunity to obtain college applications for admission, residence hall housing, and scholarships. In addition, seniors will also be able to pick up college catalogs as well as ask college representatives questions about individual colleges from both North Dakota as well as colleges from surrounding states. This is a great opportunity for seniors to get a good jump on the college application process.

Important Dates For Seniors
It has been great to watch the seniors grow and mature from 8th grade students to seniors. They are a fine group of students. I am sure that they will continue to work hard in whatever they do during not only their senior year but after high school as well.
