The North Dakota Youth Leadership Seminar (NDYLS) will be conducted May 29-31, 2009 at the University of Mary. New Salem High School can send one student at no cost to the student. Any interested sophomores should contact me as soon as possible.
The Hugh OíBrian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Seminar is being conducted May 29-31, 2009 at Bismarck State College. This leadership opportunity is for high school sophomores. Any interested sophomores need to contact me ASAP. There is a $ 150.00 cost to students to participate.
Our next career speaker at New Salem High School will be Dr. Biron Baker from Bismarck. Dr. Baker will speak in Mrs. Holly Wardzinskiís Algebra II classes during the 6th and 7th periods. Students not in these 2 classes have the opportunity to attend by signing a sheet in the front office and getting a pass from their classroom teacher.
Career speakers I arrange to bring into the school are also open to people from the New Salem community. We just ask that you either stop by the high school and sign up or call Mrs. Karen Becker at 843-7610 to have your name placed on the sign-up sheet. We want to be sure to have a room that will accommodate those who would like to attend.
