What is it like being a “graphic designer” or a “nurse”?
Last week 2 New Salem professionals shared information and some of their perspectives about their careers. Mrs. Allison Boehm came to Mr. Glenn Urlacher’s room during the 6th and 7th period on Monday. Mrs. Boehm did a superb job of providing us with information on what it is like to be a graphic designer. She brought some samples of her work. She also had students go to a web site to see some of her online work.

Mrs. Denise Nilsen presented to students in Dr. Lanny Gabbert’s science room on Friday. Mrs. Nilsen did a great job of providing many high school students a clearer picture of what it is like to be a nurse. She also shared with us some of the things that influenced her decision to become a nurse. She demonstrated some instruments she uses as a nurse. She also shared her perspective on other nurse specialties.
